How we got started

Neighborly Handyman started the way most small service businesses start — the owner fixing things for neighbors, then friends of neighbors, then referrals. The work was good, the calls kept coming, and at some point it made sense to do it full time. That was 2018. We're still the same crew.

What "owner on every job" actually means

When you book us, you get the same person who gave you the estimate. We don't run a dispatch service, we don't farm jobs out to subcontractors, and we don't have a "lead tech" with a crew of rotating faces behind them. The person who answers the phone is the person who shows up at your door. That keeps the work consistent and the accountability clear.

How we work

• Written estimates before any work starts.

  You see the cost in writing. No surprise add-ons, no verbal handshakes that drift at the door.

• We bring the right tools.

  Most jobs finish in one visit because the truck carries the common supplies and fasteners.

• Clean before we leave.

  Drop cloths, debris removal, and a quick walk-through when we're done. Your home looks the way we found it, just with the fix.

• Honest about what we don't do.

  If your job needs a licensed electrician, plumber, or structural engineer, we'll say so. We'd rather lose the job than take it and do it wrong.
